George, nice, never occurred to me to harp it, been doing my version of lennon’s piano on my guitar for years for accompaniment…you’re a creative guy, gotta admire that!
hey man, I don’t have enough in the piggy bank now to duplicate your recording setup. wouldn’t want to ask you to give anybody else’s stuff a bad rap, BUT(there’s that but again) have you ever tried those pug and play “blue snowball”, microphones? trying to find a way to record through the laptop for the grand /great grand children, so, if you have used one is it worth the time, does it work at all? thanks

      Hey Joe,
The Blue Snowball mic is a great low cost entry to recording.
By having the usb mic you bypass needing to have an audio interface.
The snowball gives you three different settings – 2 cardioid and one omni-directional – for different recording scenarios.
They look cool. They’re inexpensive. They’re really popular.
Most importantly, though, is they sound great.
So yeah, I say go for it.
You can get one from Amazon here: Blue Microphones Snowball USB Microphone (Brushed Aluminum)

      Cheers, George
